Hey guys ive been talking to the owner or this RX-7 and he's wanting to work out some kind of trade. Ive been looking for something along the lines of a supra/rx-7 rare car. Let me know what you guys think.

i may, im just not sure yet. it only has 66k miles on it and seems to be immaculate. Im just skeptical about the durability of the rotary.

If you don't know how to work on a Rotary then don't trade.

One of my good friends from highschool has a 93 and he is on his 3rd motor. They are awesome cars and seem to be pretty reliable with minor bolt and the boost not turned up too high but once those apex seals go, its seems to just happen over and over. Like the guys above said, my friend also has a DD besides his rx7.

I definately know how to work on cars, but not on a rotary. There is a local Rotary specialist shop in my area though. More than likely i'll keep my car, just getting your opinions.

It'll run fine as long as you keep it around sane power levels, but it's a different animal than an evo, more responsive but less predicable.

LS1 swap is the way to go. The rotary just plain sucks.

I have two good friends with RX-7 and they are never running for more than a couple months and then it is time to fix something. Fun to drive, just not fun to maintain. I would keep your EVO and just put more money into it!!

Great cars, but its actually a car that gets more reliable as you mod it. If it already has 66k on it look into having a rebuild done and just go ahead and have a street port and 3mm apex seals put in. The engines normally go around 75k. Like everyone said i would have to have a DD as well.
