But hey let's not go into that. The point is, and I am sorry I can't speak for all the horrible EVO drivers you guys have in Arizona (maybe their skill level is as bad as mine), but my point is that with full bolt ons and meth your VIII should atleast be with a bolt on IX regardless if it is running 1/3 race gas and 2/3 pump gas. Infact when you think about it, a IX with those mods and the 1/3 110 octane is about 350-360whp (Dyno Jet) at most and you got nearly 112mph trap speeds out of it at 3100ft, which tells me it was making the power it was suppose to, so what happend to your VIII???
Good question on what happen to the Evo 8... 3 custom tunes.. added more and more parts and never got quicker or faster...

As per your comment of being one of the quickest and fastest 335i, well, I have no say on that, my car is auto so it does not take a whole lot of technique to drive an auto .

As far is the horrible drivers in AZ, I wouldn't say they are horrible, maybe they haven't taken their cars to the track enough times, who knows

Ok Carlos, how in the world in two weeks do you gain an extra 4mph in the 1/4 mile with the same exact mods??? Please don't tell me the slicks gave you an increase of 4mph. Did you not type this like 2 weeks ago-

By the way, my best so far is a 2.045 60' ,13.389@106.30 on 91oct, stock tires, 3100ft elevation, sport coupe , steptronic and Procede v1.47 .

^^ You are correct on that data, this is what is different:

275/40/17 BF goodrich inflated at 22psi
2 Kosei rims 17x8.5" that weight 16.8lbs each(saved a total of 14lbs as a whole (tire/rim)
gas mixed to 93oct
mirrors folded in
1/4 gas on the tank
floormats and trunk mat removed
DTC traction control press once(semi traction control)
63 degrees outside

Prior to switching to semi traction control I could not break 12's nor run over 107.53, my best of the night was a 13.035. After I switched from no traction control to semitraction control(DTC) I saw a 12.9, then a 12.8 then a 12.71 with speeds of 109.95 all the way to 110.69.

I can't not explain anything else, it is really up to you.

Carlos

You are a cool guy too and I like when people challenge me in the right way. I have no issues with you at all, maybe I am leaving bit and pieces that makes things difficult to comprehend.

I am a registered NHRA member and my member number is #2150, my timeslips reflects my member number and I already have pictures of my car at the track(they are on my link). My car has stock exhaust, stock air filter and even Vishnu does not have a map for race gas so even if I want to use race gas the car wouldn't make more power, in fact it would loose power.

We can still be friends and you don't have to believe me, that is OK with me, you might have a lot of reservations about me, that is OK also, I will be the same Carlos that take all his cars to the tracks and show my cars to everyone that wants to see what I have under my hood.

The Evo never wanted to be a luxury car like the 335. They are two different types of cars for two different types of people. It's kind of funny that most of people who went from Evo to 335 are coming back to this forum to bash over their previous Evos. I will trade-in my Evo for a 2008 C6 Z51 in the near future, and I know for sure that I will always miss the Evo, even though I hate its coarse nature, the lack of amenities and the terrible gas mileage. I will always love this car to pieces.

Carlos, I saw these threads coming up the very moment you told me over the phone that you were selling your Evos for a 335i.

Bottom line is, your 335 may be faster than your highly modified MR but that doesn't apply to the rest of Evos. You know that under normal conditions any bolt-on Evo can put to shame any 335, Procede or not.
