durability, reliability, ease of use, simple but effective design, light weight, good emissions, Honda makes a damn fine bunch of engines.

Not trying to be a dick and definitely not trying to talk crap on the net. The guy knew what he was paying for the vehicle. It was a straight up deal, no trade, and we negotiated the price of the car. Business 101 supply and demand. If Honda only made 500 of these things, and each high volume dealership only recieved 1, don't you think they have the right to ask for all the money???
In my customers case, maybe money wasn't such a big deal to have such a rare car. Some people are just like that. He also purchased everything under the sun to protect his investment, gap, warranty, low jack. Good for him.

Why are you busting on grooves. If buyer was too stupid to research before purchase, shame on him. It is a tough business. My brother is a salesman. I actually observe him at work several time. Some of the dumbest people come in. The object is to get the most, since it is a job based on commission. If you are too weak to negotiate, then "get out of the kitchen."

So you are telling my if someone offered you 50 grand for your car, you would only accept Blue Book Value?

Ya, like the reintro of the modern beetle. People were buying them at a crazy price at 30-40 grand in cali.

When GM tried to sell the ZR-1 at 75-78 grand. There weren't too many takers.

But when the new ZR-1 comes out, it will be a whole different story.

well you could buy a Civic Si sdn, buy a Jackson SC, and all the Mugen parts you can find for that car, and you will probably have spent about $48k total all said and done...Is it worth it? hell no, unless thats your gig and you have the money to blow on a Civic, but you would be driving around with a MUGEN civic....that does say something to the honda world I huess, id rather build it though, not buy it

How about the 10 or so on Ebay right now for 32K or less... I dislike slimy salesman as much as the next guy, but theres no compensation for stupidity when it comes to a new car purchase, and thats hardly the salesman's fault....
