Is the STI here??? I think it is.....

So today I was driving home for lunch (I take one road that is used by several companies who ship from the Port of Portland, one of those being Subaru) and I saw a truck with several Subaru cars on it. One of the cars caught my eye because it looked like the pictures of the STI I have seen online. I say this because it had the same wheels, flared sides, and it also had a red logo on the trunk. So at this point I am thinking, "I didn't think they were going to get here for a while, maybe it was just a WRX." However, then a second truck full of cars drives by with what had to be the new STI. It was the STI blue color, same flared sides, and it also had the STI gold wheels. Keep in mind that my wife owns the standard 5-door 2008 Impreza from which the STI is based, and I have seen several WRXs already, so these two cars could not have been WRXs.

So I am way behind the news here? Is it common knowledge that the STIs are already here? If I am just disregard this post.

Entirely possible. Maybe they're being shipped to dealerships for testing.

Good to know. I would like to know which dealerships these were being sent to so that I could go take a look.

2008 STIs are already here, I just test drove one tonite.

That dealer will be receiving 20 more for the month of December.

Base - $35k
Base+BBS wheels - $37k
Base+BBS wheels+ Nav - $39k

The car felt nice over bumps, steering felt great, car felt very flat around turns.

Interior room is amazing, even for the back seats (which fold down BTW). Amazing
cargo space (better than golf when back seats are down.

I personally think though that the car is a little overpriced for what you get, but it's
the ultimate practical sporty grocery getter to say the least.

The thing about the new Impreza's that I like the most is the amount of interior space, just like you said.

Are those prices you mentioned MSRP or invoice?
