Prices for US BMW M3 official

This seems to be a trend. Cars anticipated to be alot more expensive than there previous incarnation are coming in less expensive than previously thought.

Now you just hope that the possible markups don't kill you.

there will probably be an even higher than normal markup, considering a bunch of them were wrecked on that cargo ship

I don't think BMW does the "market adjustment" on their cars. The window is the price you pay. That being said, what is it like $6K more than the E46 M3, thats salty...

to tell the truth, I think they'll put them up a bit. I would not be suprised to see them going for 65-70ish. the dealer may not mark em' up, but you know some rich ***** is going to throw down over 57 to get his first. same thing happened with the M5 when it came out. only 80, but you never saw one going for that low of a price.

Are these the discounted ones that were playiing pinball on the boat? Over 300 M3's were seriously damaged (that will be fixed and sold as new) along with 70 that were total losses.

Yeah, the previous M3 started at $48,900, but they did think that this one was going to come in around $62,000. I guess BMW was feeling the heat from the Lexus IS-F which will start at around $57,000. The IS-F looks nice and the performance numbers look impressive enough to compete with the M3. I'll have to test drive both. Can't buy either, but can sure test 'em.

That is a lot of money, but I think it will be even higher when it comes to our shores.

I'd modify a twin turbo 335i and save $15k on the base price and on insurance.
