Trade evo for a supra?

For those who want a vehicle for the dragstrip, the Supra is the better option. I don't want any flaming from the Evo draggers, but there is no replacement for displacement. Yes, you can make an Evo quicker than a Supra, but if you spent the time and money on the Supra, it would come out on top. But, by that same logic, you would still be better off starting with a V8 (Corvette,etc.). To prove the point, just look at the best 1/4 mile times for each type of vehicle. As engine size goes up, 1/4 mile time goes down.
As I have said before though, the Evo is a much better daily driver.

Remember if you want a Supra you need cash. Banks won't finance a 10+ year old car. Expect to pay $30,000++ for a clean TT 6spd. Supras appreciate and not depreciate, unlike most cars. Which is good for current owners like me.
The bad:
Maintenance is much higher than an Evo
It weighs more
Steering feedback is lighter than an evo
You will get even more attention in a Supra
The good:
Make 1000+whp on the stock motor, stock 6spd and stock drive line easy
Toyota reliability
Super easy to make lots of power
Handles decent stock (.98g's bone stock)
Great brakes stock (held the record for shortest stopping distance for 10+years)
It is not a boy racer car. Most good conditioned TT's are owned by mature adults
Honestly I would not recommend a Supra unless you have a daily driver. I have 2 TT Supras with low mileage but I have a 240sx to drive daily. These cars are too rare to drive around daily. Mine makes so much power that it is scary to drive, but fun at the same time. Just my $.02

You obviously have never driven a powerful (600+) RWD car on anything resembling street tires. Its fast once it hooks up, hooking up is the problem. I'd like to see a street tired, 600 whp LSX beat up an Evo with 255s all around making 500 whp to 100 or even 120 mph. My buddy with his 480 whp Z06 got smoked repeatedly by my 400 whp Evo from a roll due to his minimal wheelspin and the fact that I would brake boost up on him and be GONE.

id b tempted but i think an evo is the better route. ive driven both and i came to the toss up and actually paid more for the evo but thats because I think its fun to have all that power but it gets old but my evo seems like its fun to even get groceries in i mean everywheres a track in car meant for all types of fun surfaces .id say supra if u had an evo too .or if u are into drifting which to me is not a fun car to drive if its a drift car for anything other than drifting.or drag but all that can be done in an evo but its still fun all the time traction is amazing and it feels so great as it spools up quick as hell and can get ten seconds on a STOCK TURBO AND BLOCK but u cant go too wrong both beauties sounds like an evos gunna last way longer tho

I had a neighbor that has a highly modded Supra. He never takes it out on rainy days, or if the roads cold, it's just too quick. It was a beautiful car, the inside looked too old, My 06 Evo dosen't look much better.
I took him for a ride in my 500+ hp EVO, We boosted up to 150mph a few times. He said "I wish I purchased an EVO" I don't drive mine too much but I take it out in all weather conditions, rain, snow, shine, it handles great, just breaks loose in 3rd on wet, snowy roads. LOL
