I can't believe this thread is still going, this thread is the definition of beating a dead horse for tooooooo long .
On the topic of saying things a few years ago about future technology...
There was no way in hell I was going to go to the SST. I was completely against the idea. Stupidest thing ever. I used every excuse in the book (arguing with the ralliart guys mainly). Not putting the 5 speed in the ralliart?!?! RETARDED! GIVE ME MANUAL OR GIVE ME DEATH.
Now I own an MR and I love the SST dearly. I honestly would love a IX with the SST in it. There is a reason Lamborghini, ferrari, etc are only doing dual clutch transmissions now (no manuals to be had in new cars). I never put it in auto electronic shifting any more, I always have it in sport mode / manual. It's tuned to hold 25 psi through all the gears without letting off of the gas (tune goes up to 28psi otherwise). Shifts so amazingly quick. I laugh at how ignorant I was.

I sold my 8 MR last year, regret it, especially the person I sold it to. Later I bought an X MR for the DD and the finance. After my regrets, bought a mild bolt-on evo 8 GSR. Can't complain, same car payment that was for my old MR for 2 evos-best of both worlds.
