Goodbye evo, hello new ride....
Well, as a couple of you may know, I've finally sold everything, parts and car included. It was really sad, as initially I was selling it to have some savings in the bank for a house. But I ended up getting a very well-paying job recently and I rented, since people around here still think it's 2005. In any event, since I had a decent amount in the bank due to the job and renting, I decided to go out and get myself something to take my mind off my evo...
So, after 5 weeks, my 2008 335i coupe came in....I don't plan on getting a procede just yet, but I've already ordered an oem aero lip, painted reflectors, black kidney grills, and an e92 m3 painted spoiler. Those along with a tint should do nicely for a while...enjoy some prelim pics, along with a few pics of my old evo - I just got home and snapped a few!
Old evo:
new ride...
I got it with 5 miles, I did take some back roads on the way home though

I got an automatic since a lot of the areas I'm driving to now are heavy traffic....
I'll def miss the raw feel - I already do! But this makes up for it in other ways.

Your Post
You know I feel for you. I have been there. I got rid of my Evo 8 a few years ago, due to money issures at home, then bought a IX base, and Wife and I had it out, so again had to sell it, then things got better, money came in, and Found a Hellof A deal on the 06 MR I drive today. I considered the 335 as well, but at the time the 4 door was not available, and I have two kids. Besides the Evo suits me better. At least that is what everyone says. My friend has a 335i four door right now, with the 6spd M package all installed in Germany at an extra cost, 19" rims, a Vishnu stage 3 tune, Intake, Downpipes and a cat delete. We are taking it to get Dynoed next week. I drove it, its very nice, totally different feel than the Evo, but Just as fun. You did good.....but I won't be surprised seeing you back in less than two years with another Evo. I know I did.........Something about this car grows on you. So now, my MR that I promised I would never mess with, is Running a K&N drop in, 3" Bucsher Turbo back with hi flow cat, Magnaflow Muffler, and tuned to 315whp, and 340wtq. My friend with the 335 drove my car yesterday, his words? "Damn this car is fast, its only 2.0 liters?" That makes me grin Everytime..........Did I mention 20mpg in the city with that power too? My grin just got bigger. haha.......Well Congrats, Enjoy, and have fun with the new ride
