I wouldn't call it a replica, more like the real thing with a headlight. There are a few owners that street them or do occasional track days. I would love to have one and if I did I would definitely crash it finding my limits at VIR...

Sexy, its a toss up between a MV (I think there going for 100k?), DUC, or a Benelli.

If I still recall right this vehicle has the best road production power to weight ratio 1hp per less of 2lbs .

I like the smart car. But one day I'll own a ducati, most likely the 848 because it's the only one that I'd be able to afford.

The bike that the OP posted is actually for sale over on the Ducati forums. The owner is asking 85K for it I believe.

For all you that would like some addtl info on the Desmo here's a link to Jay Leno talking with DNA chief while taking delivery.

Any other Ducati owners on the forums?

Finally, NJ got a racetrack. Definitely a lot closer than VIR.

There was a Desmosedici at Willow Springs this past Saturday. Such a cool bike and it sounded awesome! The owner was only putting around the track though. Wasn't sure if he didn't know how to ride or was too afraid of crashing it. Either way, it was a shame not to unleash that beast. At least he took it to the track as I'm sure 99% of these bikes will be garage queens / bike night bikes.

Was kinda fun passing him on the outside on a '03 R6...

Not yet we don't

It is the same owner as VIR so I expect the facilities to be just as good but I just love the track layout there.

if I wnat to have a greater chance of crashing I would take it to Grattan, off camber, bumps, water seepage, getting air, huge front straight and great grip. Its an awesome track to ride i high HP bike.
