No, not coming to US (unless something has changed in the last month or so). Too bad too, it's a great looking car.

not coming to the USA
It's basically a re-vamped GTI. Same frame, same engine etc.

power and mpg will be the same as the GTI. around 200hp, 30mpg highway

According to VW, no official decision has been made. I got that directly from an employee of VW of America.

In all likely hood, we probably won't see one. We do have a shot...
