You shouldn't plain and simple. My gf had one and I drove it all the time. Only thing that is better is the interior and it's not even that nice. IS300 actually got worse mpg in town then my evo also.

i was thinking about turbo charging it, it has the updated version of the supra motor. My friend was telling me that the stock internals can hold up to 900hp.
the turbo kits go for 3500 and up.

im not sure about 900 hp but ive heard of it hitting 600 hp on stock internals. personally i wouldnt do it when the evo has just as even more potential. is300 rwd< evo awd. guaranteed the evo will be better at the track too. imo

I wouldn't mind a IS300 with a 2JZ-GTE swap........it'd be badarse and you can totally make it look like a sleeper....tho, it's a lot of work to do that. Keep the evo, in the long run you'll miss it and regret it if you trade it in

If u really wanna try RWD go for it
my friends have Is300s one pushed 700whp(built IS motor) and the other one pushed 1100whp(Supra swap I believe) if u ever wanna get Is300 and FI it take a look at SRT and talk to MO(the owner) http://www.swiftracing.com/SRT/default.aspx
I believe he is one of the best tuner in US he is really far from u though lol...

IS300's are nice cars, and RWD is a totally different kind of fun than AWD. I know everyone says it, but you have to just drive one and you'll know if you like it or not right away.

I went from this:
To this:
It's way slower in all aspects, but it is way better built, and way more fun to drive... I have no regrets about what I did, but then again the evo just wasn't for me, plus my IS does this:

At some point I'm sure I will, but not anytime soon... For what I use the car for I don't need anymore power, and it is my daily driver so the winter would not be fun if it was boosted. More likely than anything I'll just end up doing a swap in a year or two once I can afford to have a beater as well... Either 2jz-gte, beams, or ls1.

I couldn't decide between the IS300 or my Evo. I'm glad I got the Evo, but I was going to do a 2jz gte engine swap because I had a friend that wrecked his supra. It would be a badass sleeper!. But I love my Evo, and wouldn't give it up for anything.
