I've been trying to read up on the AGP Delta 55 which has been causing a lot of excitement with the SRT people lately. Sounds to me like it might be roughly comparable to the HTA3076. But they don't even have a price for it yet and nobody has tested the LWRA for it yet either. Do you have any opinions on the Delta55? Do you know any of the guys that have had it on their car for testing?

Gary
yep, im still here.

yea, turbo is nice man. i just did 450hp on 23psi w/ racegas. the timing is a terrible mess tho. it saw only 16* on the dyno, and on the streets, its even worse. it Should be around 24-25* right now.
w/ the timing right, it prolly wouldve done 470 or so w/ the built head and sheet metal intake on just 23psi.

AGP does great stuff. only reason i think they havent really released much info about the lwra d55 is prolly kus they want to test it and get it down perfectly w/ a select few test cars and make sure it lives to its expectations before releasing to the public.

addictedtosin was doin mid 11s at like 127-128 on pretty moderate boost (23-25?). he's just basic *** bolt ons w/ a pretty good drivermod. he said he was doing 23psi @ 3400. which is right at what a typical 50t/.63ar is spooling at.

on the other hand, a dude names trunks02110 or something of the sort put it on and went out and only cracked out some mid 13 runs w/ horrible trap speeds (like 108's??).

when its released, the lwra d55 should be badass, and probably slightly cheaper than HTA models in order to steal the market...

as for me, im building another motor. doing it right this time...and most likely going HTA86... i need to stop spending $

HTA86, well if you are determined to go with an .82a/r hotside then I guess the 3586 would be like wtf why not.
But this means you are going to skip over the HTA3582 which is the turbo that made HTA famous!
To me the 3582 is amazing because it can do over 500awhp on 93 octane no meth on a Mustang dyno and it will do this in a .63 a/r housing with spool almost identical to a 50 trim in a .63 housing. Most of the 3582 users in here are on a .82 housing but you should def check out the thread on the .63a/r cnoevol car (Marque) done by David Buschur, here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...et-hta35r.html

The other good .63 a/r info I can think of in here is by Mellon Tuning. Mellon has a good thread here, and lots of other good threads:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/se...-reviewed.html

The 2 cars above both make about 180 awhp at 4000 rpm on their 2 liter evo engines. That is about what a .63ar 50 trim makes on the same engine at that rpm. Pretty amazing I think.
Mellon has gone on to an 86 now, been meaning to catch up on his threads. I see his DLL of the 86 on 93 octane shows mega hp, with 180hp coming up about 400 rpm later than it did with his 3582.

thanks for the reply.

i will have to sit and think about what ill want to do.

my buddy wants my hta30r pretty bad. he's goin w/ a DCR 2.6 stroker w/ a RT Earnie custom tubular mani (4" 02 back), and DCR's proseries head.
i told him to get the 6262 or the HTA82. after hassling him, he obliged. we agreed, if he doesnt like it, we will trade. he wants his spool in the 3500rpm range...which would 100% be doable w/ the 2.6 and this turbo, so hopefully w/ my luck, i wont have to come out of pocket for a new turbo.

i tried buying mellon's hta35 when he was sellin it a while back but he said i would have to wait until he bought a new turbo, so i jumped the gun and got my hta30.

ill look more into the HTA35/.63 tho.
but as right now, i cant afford to buy another turbo. i just bought some custom low compression wiseco pistons (7.2:1 ...for those super high boost applications since our car's tend to not like high compression, let alone high boost), and am about to purchase either MANLEY Turbo Tuff rods or Crower rods (f you have any insight on either, let me hear it! )

so ill prolly try to max the HTA30r out on a mustang dyno (the load on a dyno jet makes my car go extremely lean on the dyno )...so ill try to keep ya updated on those #s once this motor is completed.

Your signature block says that you have the TAK 33r... Care to share the details?
