In terms of what? Both are really old engines which lasted quite a long time. 4AGE's were popular because of AW11 MR2's and AE86 trueno sprinter/levins (although the engine lasted all the way to AE101). 4G63T makes more power stock in pretty much any trim, and good power to torque trade off until 2.4 stroker, and it gets better as you start dumping more boost into it. I believe that it is difficult to make even 300whp with forged internals on a 4AGE. 4AGE has limitations due to the fact that it was designed as 1.6 stock, and would be pointless to stroke over 1.8. IMO Honda B16B is far more capable engine than a 4AGE. Sure, they were in Formula Atlantic cars revving up to 11k and making about 220-240 crank hp, but so do tuner B16B's on Civic Type R's.

Thats basically what I was trying to tell my dad. Even thought they had the 4age's in formula cars( like you said) that it was pointless to do anything with the engine internals and that the 4g63t comes stock with definetly more hp so thanks 4Trouble.

If you were to sink a load of money into a 4age you could do something, but look how many people use the 4g63 for serious power.

yeah both if you put a load of money you'll obviously do something but the 4g63t will just come out on top on probably torque and power. And probably just a little bit of style
