My '08 WRX. Be gentle!
New grill with pic's added on page 7 6/8/10
UPDATE page 7
Update page 5. 3/21/09
New pic's added on page 4
Well, I bought my '08 WRX January 4, 2009. I went to test drive an '09 WRX and I was impressed. The salesman proceeded to tell me they have one '08 WRX left on the lot. I told the salesman that he would have to basically give the car to me if he thinks I'm going to take it. After about 2hrs of going back and forth, I walked out with a 100,000 mile warranty and the car for $18,241. I figured that I would be replacing most of the things that make '09 WRX what it is anyway. So, I bought it.
So, My goal is to have an sedan that will keep up with and STi. I'm also doing my best to make this car not look so plain. It also handled like a Cadillac, but with the suspension mods it now handles great. I'm not going too crazy with this car's engine because she is my DD. I know most of you probably won't like it, so be gentle. Onto the mods.
Engine mods:
1. Perrin intake
2. COBB AccessPort
3. Perrin intake Stage 2 Map
4. SPT cat-back exhaust
5. Invidia Catted DP
Suspension:
1. H&R springs
2. Rallitek F/R sway bars
3. Rallitek HD F/R endlinks
4. Cusco front upper strut bar
Wheels:
1. Blitz BRW (Black blue matte) 18x8 +45 offset
2. Riken Raptor 235/40ZR18
Exterior:
1. Factory front lip
2. Factory fog lights
3. I painted the rear chrome piece on the trunk to match the car.
4. 50% tint front and 35% rear
Interior:
1. STi 5 speed shift knob
2. Armrest extension
Future mods:Not necessarily in this order
1. Invida catted DP
2. VF52 turbo
3. Perrin or AVO TMIC
4. Brembo conversion
5. Protune
6. 750cc injectors (just incase I go with a bigger turbo)
3. Side skirts and rear spats
This is what she looked like the day I bought her. She was kinda boring.
This is what she looks like now.
MY new '09 WRX grill. I love it. What do you guys think? Better pics coming soon!!!

That was a real original comment!
Thanks!
They were taken in The Malibu Mountains in California.
Thank you!
Yeah, I've heard it before.
Thanks! I'm trying to make it not look so plain.
Thanks. The price was great. I couldn't pass it up. BTW, the front windows are tinted. It's just a light tint. I don't want to get pulled over all the time.

Aren't subaru and toyota basically "friends" now? Who cares if it looks like a Corolla, it's still a Subaru.
Do you still have your warranty even after all those mods? Or did you keep the stock parts to switch back to?
How much power did you gain from the AP and intake combo?
Looks good at any rate!

I'm sure the would give me a hard time with my warranty, so I kept all of the stock parts.
According to Perrin and thier dyno chart Stage 1 with a CAI is 225WHP and 300WTQ . It feels about that. I had an '05 STi and it was dyno'd with 314WTQ. They feel about the same. The great thing is that the torque peak is between 2800 to 3200rpms. It feels quick but looses power at the top. This is why I want a VF52 turbo.

Nice car, I used to hate the new look but it's actually grown on me a lot, I would love an 09 wagon, either WRX or STI. Wait till you go stage 2 and get rid of the Accessport (or get it custom tuned), you'll be surprised at the difference. Your mod list is pretty similar to mine actually, including the future upgrades.
