doesn't really matter that its faster, which one impresses you more a supercharged 427 v-8 running 8's or a 2.0l 4-cyl running 8's, and everyone keeps saying pump gas but this this is running meth injection and when you add the price of the car to the 25k+ they dropped into building that beast that B#tch better be fast. don't get me wrong the Vette is definitely Badass no doubt about it.

Both DB's RS and this C6Z are impressive. Both run unbelievable times and are still streetable.

my opinion is in no way biased i don't care a 2.0l running 8's is far more impressive, whether it is in a evo or a damn civic. besides the fact that between the price of the vette and build are probably over $100k together.

I hate to play the devils advocate here, but
How much you think a high 8, low 9 second evo has in it? I bet there is quite a few people on these boards that have upwards of 80k-100k invested into their evo when you add the mods + cost of the car. Same w/the vettes.
I would like to mention, which I find to be more impressive, is there are more evo's running good times at tracks than most other street cars in the country. This is especially impressive in that there are not as many evo's made as there are subaru, chevy, nissan, etc.

I agree. a 4 cyl running 8's is very impressive. Heck thats why I bought one 3 years ago.

I agree with most of what your saying. My Evo had almost 110k into it including car and although it was a great car and a beast it was always on the edge. I'll guarantee knowing this particular Vette it is a much better daily driver than a 8 sec Evo. This guy drives the car daily, picks up his kids from school etc. he has taken a trip or two as well with it and then just drives to the track puts his DR's on and lays down these kinds of crazy times. Also this car is not a big $$ TT build. About the biggest expense as far as mods go on this Vette is the auto trans conversion which is about $10k-$12k. So for about $25k you could build this same car. Heck a used 06 Z06 can be had for under $40k in this failing market. A bargain IMO for a 3052lb all around great performance car platform. Drag or Road course. GM hit a winner with this car IMO. I love mine!
BTW a cam, Header C6 Z06 with just milled heads, ported TB and In mani with DR's and a 100 shot just ran a 9.70 @145 with a slipping clutch. That to me is impressive with just about $7,500 - $8,000 in mods. In fact I'm almost there with mine. Just have the heads, clutch upgrade, DR's and 100shot to go and I should be right there.
