Mitsu only sold 3,919 car last month.

In other news, Suzuki was down 74% and only sold 2,543 cars.

I am not surprised and I am not being sarcastic regarding the quality of the cars I am speaking about the economy hit face down on the floor and it affects every single manufacturer.

As per Suzuki, well, they were always a minority to begin with, when you compare them with Honda, Mitsubishi,Toyota you will find out they are in a different league.

Yes all the manufacturers are getting hit hard, but unfortunately Mitsubishi doesn't have the war-chest of Toyota and Honda and probably can't take further hits to sales.

Sad; there was a time in the early to mid 90's when I thought Mitsubishi would take off and become a bigger player in the auto industry.

I think they would become somewhat collectible and prices wouldn't drop like most cars....kinda like Supras.

The mits dealers are still sitting on the cars as it is now. I'm skeptical to a demand happening anytime soon.

As I do keep my expectations low, if the tide turns being pleasantly suprised will be nice.

I doubt they will go under, Mitsubishi has far larger subsidiaries producing everything from canned food to electronics to forklifts to marine equipment. The car company is used as a tax writeoff.

Mitsubishi won't go under, they're one of the largest and most successful companies in the world. However, whether they keep their car division active in North America is another question.

True........

But it would be sad to see Mitsubishi's auto division become an increasing niche brand.

3900 cars / 420 dealers is about 9 cars per dealer. How do mitsu dealers pay their employees? It seems like each dealer wouldn't need more than 1 person selling new cars.

you would think that in times like this the mitsu dealers would try to be more aggressive and not F the man so much.
My cousin went looking to buy a new X MR last week, they tried selling him all this extra bull stuff, tried getting more money on top of the sticker.
he left and said F it.
that could be a reason why so many poor sales....
no matter what, there still using those shark attacks, they see your week or unexperienced and immediately go for the attack.
even if the sales guy is the best sales-guy in the world, you still have to sign the paper work with another guy that tries to screw you with all those extra unnecessary bull charges.
people are tired of getting screwed left and right(im not saying they all do it), those that are doing the screwing are now getting screwed.... and there taking everyone down with them including the good guys.
sorry i had to let off some steam.
