S60R vs Evo
#31
I think its so funny everyone comparing EVOs with cars higher up on the food chain. Yes its faster then most of them but the EVO suffers from low build quality interior thanks to its econo box roots. Which the S4 or S60R do not have to worry about. The Audi and Volvo are marketed for a completely different group of people. People that want Luxury, Technology , and Performance in vehicle. The EVO is marketed for all high performance for under 35K. What else besides the 350Z, G35 coupe, and STI is there in that price range? I'm sorry you all I see this on all the forums I'm on. Like on the one of the Mazda forums Protege drivers comparing their cars with BMW 325s, IS300s and so on. Why would a Protege be faster then a BMW 325?

I'm so glad someone finally brought up the S60R / V70R. Honestly, my next car is going to have more safety, luxury and reliability than the Evo, but I can't lose that performance. I'm always looking down the "road" for the next possible option: 4-years later, when the warranty is up, what will be out there with 300 h.p., 4-doors, luxo-options and AWD? I see maybe (hypothetically) a BMW 533xi, Audi S4, Volvo S60R, and perhaps an offering from Lexus/Toyota. Any thoughts?
