Cts-v or trailblazer ss?
I'm forced to sell the evo due to relocation to Kansas, but which would you suggest? Cts-v or tbss? Your opinions? I plan on bolt ons/tune for either.

CST-V over the a Snail Blazer SS any day. Plus I agree with the guy above about getting a Jeep SRT8 over the SS. It already has all wheel drive and more power to start with.

CTS-V has a GLASS rear end...the only real solution is a Madman rear and its roughly 7000 installed. I was in the same scenario, I love the v1 CTS-V, but the rear scares me away...its like a WRX transmission, yeah theres a few people that keep it in one piece for a long time but theres the other 90% that snap them stock. Wheel hop and/or drag radials on a hard launch its no good.
Did you look at a G8? The GT models are selling for under 30k brand new, the used...around the 20k and under mark. I bought one for a dd, very nice ride/interior for a GM car. Run mid 13's stock, 6 speed automatic is pretty stout. Interior room is huge, L76 motor has proven to be stout too...have a tt one running 11.0s with just the kit, tires and a muffler.
TB SS I like but I hear about some quirky electric problems on them, I know about 6 friends with them...kinda dissapointing in the AWD form.
SRT-8 Cherokee is also a beast, read they have electric problems too...my buddy has one, its pretty nice...definitely faster then a TB SS obviously, nicer interior for sure.

You can't go wrong with either one, Me Personally Id go with a CTS-V but the problem with them they have ****ty rear ends, GM screwed up on that big time. there's a company called Madman Racing that makes 9" rears for them to handle the power. the stock rear ends can't take much past 500Hp so be prepared. you can't go wrong with either the LS6 or LS2 both great motors and have the ability to make great power.
Be sure to check out ls1tech.com they have some pretty good info on their as well.

I'd vote TBSS. A buddy has a 2wd one, I think its really nice. LS2 is strong, interior is nice (he's got the two tone leather/suede), I'm a fan. Here's a vid from the tbss at our street tire shootout...

SRT8's are sweet, my wife wants one for a daily, but from what I've seen they are still significantly more expensive than the tbss's. I've heard the same thing about the glass rear ends in the first gen cts-v's. Two buddies had them, one was bone stock, the other very mildly modded, GM ended up buying both of them back after about the 4th diff replacement.
