Haha, you are way off sir. VW has had some very innovative designs in the past that are still used today in high performance applications. VW's are not slow cars although not what i would call fast but they do handle very well. Audi and VW are pretty much the same they share alot of aspects and design features with each other. Also the VW design center is very heavily involved in all design aspects of the brands they own. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and make yourself sound ignorant.

Im sure an Evo wasn't your first car so i wouldn't get a big head and talk down to other people because of the car they drive.

cheers.

I was surprised to see the bolt pattern is the same. They look okay but not worth it to stretch a tire like that.

I'm not talking down to him because of the car he owns...he does have an evo too. I am merely saying grouping VW into those other group of cars is wrong even if production wise they are similiar in some ways. The persona of people that own those cars are much different. Those cars do not do these kinds of tire stretching awkward wheel fitments. That would be like a Porsche sticking 10in wheels in the front and 8in in the back...when have you seen this done? Some of them do looks nice...performance oriented...no. I never understood the fact of sticking wider wheels in the back of a FWD...it makes it handle WORSE. Btw I have many VW friends and have been to waterwagens many times and enjoy seeing them. I almost purchased an 04 R32...you don't see many of them rolling 17x12 wheels with 205's on them...they were built for a reason. You have your posers and you have your performance oriented cars which are built for a purpose imo. I'm going to leave this alone...don't want to offend any more vdubbers

Stop using your obvious bias towards vw to argue against the OP. he was stating his opinion in the absolute absurdity (both in terms of looks and safety) of this guys wheel setup. Don't like it, don't read it. I'm sure you could spend your time better elsewhere, like doin some ridiculous tire stretching onto one of your own vw's.... hate on JDM all you want, but just remember which forum you are on...

Your dumb,in no way did i say anything bad about the OP.i was responding to someoneelse. The op didnt say anything but look at these wheels i put on.Also, the s2000 came out when?99?before that stock vws would destroy hondas.VWs are the original sport compact tuner cars.Funny because you dont think i ever ran into s2000?!!My gti with a chip DESTROYS them!!.I live in san diego fusion cafe has an all 22k meet every week.ask them and they will tell you.In terms of moddability, you should look at import tuner 2 months ago where the spent 3,000$ on s2k for 7 hp and 3 tq!!great car to mod!!maybe i am a vw fanboy but for a reason. You are a honda fanboy why??The ****tty interior?WEAK AZZ NO tq??

If you still dont know, tire stretching started in germany when it was illegal for the tread of your tires to go past your fender liner. They strethed tires to have wider wheels and still be legal. The wider tires in the rear is only for looks, not for performance.Tell me why a stock engine evo that is daily driven would put on big *** canards in the front like they do anything??They just look ugly.Same *** putting a huge *** TA wing on your car for the street.People can do whatever they want.
