08 Lancer GTS to almost 09 Ralliart to 2007 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD
Sooo...after like 2 years hiatus I got back to getting into my EVOM account lol. Got on to see what everyone's cars were up to.
I traded in my 08 Lancer GTS for a 2007 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD w/ Sport Package. I went to a Mass dealer to look at a used 09 RA at the end of 2008 that was ~$23k all packages and 1900 miles. It sold the day before . Only other AWD Turbo car other than brand new $30k-$40k EVO Xs was a Volvo. Drove it and fell in love. Very good car for what I wanted for a daily driver in New England. Turbo, AWD, better MPG than RA, black on black leather and fully loaded. Brand new in 2007 ~$40k car for about the same ~$23k price as the used RA but WAY more, and well built car. Still in a way wish I went the RA route for cheaper mods/parts and the fact that they responded to mods well. I ended up modding my Volvo anyways...there ended up being a full mod support for the car...who realizes Volvo has been in Motorsports since like the 1960's . Unfortunately aftermarket prices are for new Volvo cars is 2-3 times the price of Mitsu parts...more like inline with the Good EVO X parts.
Anywho....car has upgraded brakes, KW coilovers, sways, endlinks, front/rear strut braces, intake, cat back exhaust, Team Dynamics light weight 18" wheels, and sticky Dunlop Direzza star specs, and a CF roof spoiler for subtle bling . Ended up really well for a street car and now I just need to get the DP on and order a Stage 2 tune. Prob looking at ~250CHP and ~300CTQ after tune. Also would like to get S60R Brembo brakes all around and I have a Mitsu TD04-16T turbo from a S60 T5 that I could put on once I know it is good at Stage 2 on stock TD04-14t turbo.
Now to the pics! Enjoy
Little higer stance and different wheels but pretty much same look...

850R, Gen 1 V70R or the S60/V70 R that looks like mine?
Mine is same car as the S60R minus bigger turbo/300HP, brembo brakes, fancy leather seats, and overly intrusive/complicated/expensive electronically controlled suspension. And a few other little things and different front clip. I got everything out of the S60 I want in my car cept 300HP and Brembo brakes. Nothing a good tune/upgrade and brake swap cant fix
208HP 236 TQ. I dynoed it and got like ~10whp from intake and catback. Quick enough to be fun but with the grip and stuff I put down now, it screams for Stage 2 or the turbo upgrade.

pretty damn good I say. Little longer car so it doesnt turn in like and EVO or STI but has prob 0% body roll and some crazy grip with the direzzas car is ~3400lbs...around stock EVO X weight I think. Took a loop around, off ramp at 55mph and no tire squeal. Just went lol. Why I think it screams for more power. Think the handling and drip are setup enough for it.
