Thanks Tim, haven't been biking much lately, can't find the time. Just eating right and less than I use to, down about 22-23 pounds, 7 more to go.

I'm not worried about YOU being a homo! haha

You ready for the Shootout?

Missed your post!

Yea i'm planning on getting the car ready to go tomorrow and Thursday. Not really much I need to do, just some general maintenance stuff, pull out the corn gas, wash it, etc.

Having a tough time finding a hotel room right now though.

Damn David.....you are getting thin. You know if the tuning thing does not work out (yeah right) you could always be a health consultant. Great job! Your body will certainly thank you later in life.

That's right Tim. I remember him telling me a little about it. You have missed out on a couple pretty good meets.

David....we need updates on the "project". Please.

Nice shirt David LOL

Project looks like fun man. Got me talking to my dad about doing something with my chevelle

Course he did tell me if i put a 2JZ in the thing he would haunt me for the rest of my life when he dies lol. So i guess im down to a fuel injected small block with maybe some twin HTA's and a 4L80E conversion

The guys needed some room I was holding up with my engine/trans for this project.

Ted put the engine/converter and such on the engine for me, had it all sitting here waiting for me. Today they threw me out of the building! haha Ted and I hauled the assembly over to my house and had it in the car in about 15 minutes. I ordered some SS tube and plate today to make the actual engine mounts but it is sitting just about where it will end up and the trans is bolted in.

Here's a couple pictures of the engine/trans sitting in the frame:

That is going to be one fun ride. You need to spruce it up with some nice polished pieces. You know....show and go.

I'm going to do it in satin finished SS and black. I can't wait to start on it now, it's been sitting for months but now that the engine is sitting in there I'm motivated. The only part I care about, like it's going to be a surprise, is building all the engine stuff. The rest of the car will be bare bones. I do think it's going to end up with a cage in it though. At 2200 pounds with this engine/turbo combination it's going to be retarded fast.

What are you looking at for numbers on this thing? Just curious on what the P:W is going to be. We're building an Austin right now. Granted it's going old school with the motor, but ~1200-1400lbs with 500hp is going to be insane.

Looks good so far

only 3 gears? i would be worried about running out of gear to run it, ever thought of a 700r4? or a 4l60e are 4 speeds and can be found in just about any 98 - 02 f-body. from what i understand they have a big aftermarket for them as well. or even a 6L80E, 6 speed, not sure how much larger they are though.
