The stall is about 5500 rpm, same converter we used in our tube chassis car that ran 7's and Conquest that ran mid 8's back in the early 2000's.
Here's a video of the *****'s:

That explains why you found yourself backwards.... HOLY $HIT
arent you making max tq around there?
Any plans of trying a lower stall to help with power delivery?
I know that converters have been improved soo much over the years. it's been decades since messing with auto's + decent on street tires (mid 80's)....heck, i used to run a McCreary dirt tire on the street, just to date myself....
The *****'s looks insane

This new auto trans project has put me in a spot where I need to put some serious cash together. So I have to get serious about selling some stuff off. 1st up, I am going to sell the '32 Ford Coupe. Here is some information:
Fabricated frame/chassis, painted with Ford 9" rear end and 3.90 gears, positraction. Four bar suspension, coil overs front and rear. Manual valve body TH400 trans, custom billet 9" torque converter, 3" steel drive shaft. Body is fiberglass, black gel coat. Power windows. Custom 12 gallon aluminum fuel cell I built, twin Walbro 255's, -6 lines feed/return. ATL fuel gauge, AEM AFR gauge, Stack multi gauge that read: RPM/Speed/Water temp/Oil pressure and voltage, also measures 0-60 times and 1/4 ET/Speed, very accurate. American Racing Salt Flat wheels. Disc brakes front and rear. Flaming river manual rack. Aluminum radiator with -10 AN hoses to and from the engine. Custom top mount intercooler that joins the grille shell to the body. I also have the top section of the hood for the car, never installed. The engine is a BR 2.3, 10:1, BF272 cams, BR Fabricated intake, BR65mm throttle body, new oil pump, front cover, water pump etc. Valve cover is black powder coat. BR billet thermostat housing. Haltech Sport 1000 ECU tuned on 93 octane. ID2000cc injectors, BR fuel rail, adjustable FPR. Pyle amp and 4 Pyle speakers. Flaming River tilt steering column. B&M Prostick shifter. The entire car interior is covered in DEI's sound deadening. EVO8 seats. BR top mount v-band header with FP3065 turbo, BR manual boost controller, Tial 44 MM wastegate, BR 3" downpipe and exhaust with Magnaflow muffler, all V-band connections. Power brakes. This car is bad ***, the attention it got at the Shootout in 2011 alone was worth building it. It only weighs 2100 pounds. When I say it's fast it is an extreme understatement. It is so fast it's dangerous to be honest. I can sell it complete as listed for $30,000. If someone is interested in the car as a complete roller without the engine/trans/wiring harness and ECU I would also sell it like that for $18,000. The engine mounts and trans mounts would allow a simple small block Chevy with a TH350/TH400 trans to be installed in an hour. The mounts on the car are designed for the SBC and TH350/400 trans.
The car is also titled as a '32 Ford 3 window Coupe. This should make it exempt from emissions anywhere.
It's time to let this go and move onto the trans project.
