Okay guys, I used to have a 04 Lancer (pretty obvious by my username lol) but after a car accident and not being smart about things --I'm now driving a 97 Maxima.
Anyways, when I got it, it was running fine and slowly but surely (of course) within two months or so, I had to fix things lol.
Nothing major, yet, but still frustrating.

I had to replace the battery (I did last month)
I was still having problems starting the car, I started to get a "click" when it didn't turn on, so I changed the starter.
Now --I'm getting a very weak crank when it wants to start and I just have no idea. It's been like this an hour after the starter was changed. (last week) and it has just gotten worse.

1st try --didn't do anything
2nd try --started fine
3rd try --died while trying to turn on
4th try --had a long crank (the normal lately)


any suggestions to what it is??? THANKS SO MUCH

 

Check your starter ground is clean

 

1st do the lights come on and are they bright. If so, not a battery or alternator problem. If they are not bright could be battery is drained from alternator not working properly. Try getting it jumped off. If you cant, take battery to autozone to get checked. If the battery is fine and or takes a charge at autozone it could be the alternator. Hope that helps!
