i may have trading in my Evo X within a year

wife and I are planning on having a kid soon, if that happens i will have to trade in my Evo for something more accommodating to kids. my first choice right now (yeah, i like to day dreaming/fantasizing ) is the Audi A4 Avant with the S-line package. i mean what's not to like, looks slick, a wagon which is very handy for the baby stroller, had an A3 2.0T before, big fan of that motor, excellent gas mileage. endless mod possibilities . what would be your first choice as a family car?

Porsche Cayenne Turbo or a Panamera Turbo.

Mod wise...Switzer is doing some nice things with the turbo Porsches.

Then the A4 seems like the perfect choice

personally i think the evo makes a pretty good family car. I have two kids and we are pretty comfortable in the evo, but to each his own. Audi is a pretty nice car. Maybe a used m5 or infinity fx35. Good luck with whatever you choose

i thought the audi have excessive built up of carbon soot at the engine valve? so u might want to reconsider your choice of options
i seen threads in audi forum and its apparently quite a big issue

An A3 or A4 wagon is probably the best choice. If the local dealer didn't suck ***, the RA would be a good choice but having a family and all, it's very important that you have a dealer who can provide you with hassle free service and a loaner on demand. Infiniti EX is also pretty nice. CTS-V wagon if you want something batcrap crazy.

V70R hands down IMO. Super stout engine. Tons of potential to be stupid fast. Less complicated than the Audi. Looks 9999X better. Scandinavian>German any day.
This

Or this?

Coming from an Evo the choice should be obvious.

If $$ was not an issue I would agree with CTS-V Wagon.

Saab 9-5

I think SAAB should be a good chioce, i have the 2000 9-5 wagon and it can carry cargo like a truck ( i have had a full sized refrigerator in it). and the turbos in them are great fun. and since you are going to have a kid safety should be number one, and SAAB is hands down one of the safest cars around. they are releasing new models sometime soon, but the old ones (PRE GM) are great.

also if a car company made a commercial like this in the 80's then u know they got they right idea.
