Buschur Racing's new 5 liter Mustang

I didn't want the brakes, too much weight added to the car. We are going to do some lightweight replacement rotors with Giro Disc for the car as it is. More brake than I will need with the car and what I plan to do with it. I wanted to buy the car as cheap as possible and as light as possible. The way it sits I was at $29,500 for the car, excellent price for what you get I think.
The V6 was a thought but it's a useless market. It's like buying a standard Lancer instead of the EVO. The chances of an EVO owner modifying his car is about 95%, the chances of a Lancer owner modifying his are probably 10%. Same goes for the Mustang market.

Surprised you didn't get a white one to match the BadBish.
I would have loved to see what you could have done to a GT500.
Always the best of luck in your plans for the car Dave.

I've got an F250 Super Duty diesel about the same color as the Mustang and bought a new trailer in the spring to match the truck, I thought I'd stick with the same color to look matched. I wanted white but if we go do some races with it the overall look will be more professional.
The car feels really good, I put over 100 miles on it tonight. 55-60 mph cruise shows 28.xx mpg's. 75 mph cruising is showing about 23 mpg's. Handling is better than I'd expect on the all season radials, corners very flat. I'd love to take it around Mid Ohio like it is, Id guess some low 1:40's on the pro course would be easy.
Something else I really like, 10 preset radio stations, never seen that many before.
The GT500 is just too much money, $48,000 was the best deal I could find, much more limited market.

Good luck with the build. The military community is like mustang central. I have to admit, the new ones do look fantastic.
