BMW hybrid sports car officially announced this morning, based off VED concept car
Bimmerpost.com leading story this morning.
Pretty big news announcement from BMW this AM about the intended production of a plugin hybrid sports car based on the vision efficientdynamics concept coupe they been parading around the car show circuit. Looks like it'll actually retain the same shape and design and be put into production close to the concept form. The BMW boys were hoping for a full out competitor to the R8 but guess they'll have to get it with a hybrid sports car.
Official specs:
3 cylinder turbo diesel and hybrid motor at front with full hybrid engine at rear.

4.8 second 0-100km/h acceleration
75.1 MPG
0.22 drag coefficient
