Project Car

Alright guys, so I was trying to get a 350Z unfortunately the deal fell through and I've lost all interest in getting into a loan where I will always owe someone money. I want to get a "fun" project car. I am trying to get a RWD vehicl, trying to keep it manual. I'm trying to get a shell, or at least a "fixer upper" for around $3k. I really don't like spending more than that on something that I'm going to be dropping more money into. I love the BMW E30's, but just haven't been able to find many decent ones in my area. So...hopefully that's a good idea of what I'm interested in. Drop some ideas on me guys!!!

Problem with 240sx cars out near me is that they are all in such ****ty condition that I'll be getting myself into a money pit. I would love to get a 240sx, but they're shot to hell out here.

Cars out here stay in good condition when they're away from the coastlines, inland the cars are nice. What sucks is just trying to find decent cars, over here the cars are beat to hell by puerto ricans...

Miata. Cheap to buy, cheap to mod, best all around performing car you can get for the price. Endless used parts market makes it very easy to build a car on a budget.

Be different. Xr4ti, drop in a ford 302/T5 or ls1 (they have kits readily available) and do something about the read diff.

It's not the jap style all the kids are into lol, but if you grew up with old school European rally stuff, you may just like it haha.
