I have to revive this thread just to say how dumb people were in 2010 LOL... you should reread your replies and all the others they are just so funny now.. Now that we have seen a couple K24-swapped Evo's, its proof this guy was WAY ahead of his time. A lot of top EVO drag cars are even running Honda's AWD system now. The K-series is the greatest factory produced 4 cylinder engine ever made. And its really not that close. Sure, the iron block in the 4g63 is strong, but its not a good motor at all as a whole. Its not reliable, the head sucks, and they cost a fortune to maintain.. Even in 2010 it was expensive to mod and maintain these cars. **** if I had k24 swapped my Evo9 back then, Id probably have saved myself some $30,000 over the years! LOL... Pretty sure there is a company that makes a mating plate for the K24 and Evo trans as well as a harness for the swap. K-series pretty much beat the 4g63 in every single area other than block and cylinder strength, but you could buy a billet, water-jacketed K24 block for the cost of a 4g63 these days... Or of course just fully sleeve it. But stock K24's can handle like 500-600whp no problem. Anyway, I had fun reading all the replies from 2010. It was a great read and I got a great laugh! Ill never swap my 9 tho because these cars have become so valuable and collectable, Id be an idiot to do anything crazy to mine.. Mine only has around 60k miles on the chassis, and is pretty much mint condition.

What Evos are running Honda AWD systems? AFAIK, their center and rear diffs are pretty weak and he has to dial in the viscous fluid to limit torque transfer to it was something like 250ish HP (Info from Myles at ER with his AWD Integra).
If there is, cool. I'd like to see it.
Also, I've tried doing some investigating but its pretty hard to find direct comparable information. But it looks like the K20/24 is heavier than the 4G63/4.
