Looks great with the Euro spec wheels. I'll have to finish watching the videos later. It's tuned, correct? I could not tell from the tach, but it seemed to pull cleanly up top.

Nope, no tune beyond the OEM. Motor was built in a joint venture with Cosworth. Pretty much maxed out at 170hp. For $400 and 10-15whp/tq, I didn't see the need to get the tune.

Motor loves RPM. Lives between 4500-7000. Below that, I have no torque.

Up in Great Lakes area. Mustang is really getting dialed in now. No more out of control handling. Very tight and clean now.

So the SVTF has a CAI & exhaust? From factory has a header, correct?

Ok, we've got a Mustang & SVTF thread, what about a RA thread. Any plans?

Of all the cars I've owned the SVTF still ranks up there pretty high, the power and handling was pretty good right out of the box.

Mine had a few less mods than yours: AEM full intake, focus sport crank pulley, cat delete, magnaflow catback, performance distributers livewires and coil pack and a short shifter.

I didn't get a chance to fully enjoy the car since it was one of the first cars I owned (bought new, worked at the dealer) and as such got totaled on a mountain road from me not knowing my limits. It was also a black 02 with the winter package, sunroof and bigger sound system.

Good to see there are still some of them out tearing it up! If you ever need an extra cat or some misc VF mounts let me know!

Old pic. Back to OEM airbox and K&N panel filter. Air filter heat soak too much in race use.

Correct, factory 4-2-1 header.

RA, just going to run and keep as-is:

This is my real project car.

I have short throw on there. Mostly suspension, tires, lighter, brakes. Damn near a go-cart.

Ha, twin then. I took all those parts off. Same package.

Rocked out 1.5s gain on Mid Ohio yesterday. Sundays race for me was self-canned. Raining here. I have rain tires, but its not worth it to run the car in the wet at MO. And some overheating woes continue. I get 2-3 laps at best before my timing is pulled. Going to hard wire the high speed fan and make it an on/off toggle for the driver to control. Also need to loosen the RSB. With the new grip from the tires. My front grip was overwhelming the rest of the car.

Very last session of yesterday was a blast. Went from 10/10ths TT mode to more of an 11/10ths race mode. I was gridded with some other TTE cars just in front of me (grid by time) ~.5s between us. So I used all my late braking stills to catch both TTE cars and 2 TTD cars. Funny thing is, not my fastest time of the day.

Adorable. Also, I highly doubt the fan is going to do **** at speed, you really need a stronger rad or better ducting. Might as well just get a better radiator, even ebay rads are a worthy upgrade.

Nah, worked up to 1.5 years ago. There is ducting to the rad now. Fog lights are gone. Not ducting to brakes. Ducting to rad.

I know you moved, but have you been in Michigan on I75 in the past 6 months?

It's been quite awhile, but a black turbo SVT Focus was really trying his best to pick a fight with me during afternoon rush hour and it looked remarkably like your car before the stripe.

Dude was weaving through lanes quickly and just flew by me doing 90 something if not 100. There was WAY too many cars on the road to even think about racing and I just sat there watching the car. Man did I want to bite though.... it didn't look like it was that quick.

I'd assume you don't drive crazy, but there also isn't a lot of Black SVT Focii running around with a cage either.

What?

No. I do not drive like an asshat. And SVTF has been striped and prepped for over 2 years.

Haha I figured, just checking for an odd coincidence.

Do you have any other videos of yours on track? How does it compare to the Evo?

Posted a ton of videos in the first post.

Its sharper than the Evo was. Also quite a bit lighter. Turn-in is quicker overall. Its only downside is that its not as powerful to rocket out of corners like the Evo could.
