At least somebody still believes in making sports cars. Mitsu should take notes!

^^^^yes, the evo is an amazing SPORTS SEDAN, but i really wish they would bring a legit competitor to the streets for the gtr,or hell how about making the eclipse a car worth buying again with awd!!! they are putting awd in the BASE lancer and killing the eclipse, its not that the market doesn't want a sports car, people don't want to buy crap

Saw this hile I was trolling online earlier, this looks very promising. I'll be in the market for a new car in 6-12 months and have considered the Gen coupe but still a Evo fan with the AWD... Especially for winter.

WOW! I'd say they're on top now in the 6-cylinder wars. I don't think there's a single 6-banger out there that has this beat.

More power than g37, 335i, mustang, camaro, challenger, tl, is350, c350. I think they are really hell bent on getting to the top and that means that eventually, someone will stuff a tau v8 with 400+ horses into a genesis from the factory.

Just in time for my RA to start getting old and FAP FAP FAP FAP...

The 6 cylinder actually sounds nice.

Rather get the turbo in rspec trim. I think it will be impossible to beat the value for the price on this car with 275 hp.

Has a twinscroll turbo as well.

I wonder what people will be making with downpipe+tune with this car? If I like what I see I may buy this. Probably will be like $22k for the RSPEC (no frills interior, track suspension, brembos)

edit: Only problem is that every kid with a job at Taco Bell will own one of these at that price so it will be a ridiculous cap magnet with insane insurance.

Well the current generation Gen Coupes run about 24-25k for the R-spec 2.0t which is really the only one worth getting(IMHO). So I imagine the new one will probably be around 26-27k, thats just a shot in the dark. Also, to be honest, I haven't seen that many Gen coupes 2.0t or 3.8 for that matter so I dunno if this is going to be the next "Scion Tc", but I guess we'll see.

i think they have reached a point where they need to do some re-branding and redesign that hideous badge. they owe it to their impressive current and upcoming line ups!

A Gen Coupe with the I4 turbo? Who would have thought?

The article I read noted that the 8 spd auto transmission from the Genesis sedan would be available with either the V-6 or the I-4T. I think the 4 cyl turbo with the 8 spd should provide both outstanding performance AND good fuel efficiency. That is just the combination that auto enthusiasts of the future will be craving.

Drove the current model the other day and the MT for the car was pretty ****ty. Did not like the feel if the shifter at all. It was a friends car and he said it has lots of issues.

I drove of these the other day and for some reason it still feels very "Hyundai" while driving it. I know it looks good and has good specs on paper and everything, but it is a pretty dramatic change in the whole driving experience coming out of an Evo into of these things. Vague shifter is just the beginning.

Same with the new Mustang. Yes, on paper it blows the old one out of the water, but to me, still feels like a Mustang. It's got that distinctive heavy vague feel which just isn't enjoyable to drive everyday.

About the power - it's amazing what a little direct injection can do to HP numbers these days. I wonder why Mitsubishi is so hesitant to use it on their cars - according to Wikipedia they had the first system installed in a mass market car.
