Leaving the Mitsu Family
It's been a good 3 years with my 4B12 GTS Lancer... but the time has come to move on up and I got a great deal on a leftover Mazdaspeed3 (would be an Evo if we had your US prices!)
I'll be offically trading in my Lancer on Wednesday and driving away in a brand new Speed3 with Tech Package. The Lancer has been a great, reliable car, but the deal I got was too great to pass up!
It's even better when I found out my insurance is $10/month cheaper on the Speed3 then it was on my Lancer GTS... figure that one out!
Good luck to everyone in their Lancers

Let's be honest, sad to see a fellow Mitsubishi driver go, but when Mazda produced the Speed3, it was built to compete with other turbocharged vehicles.
I'm not hating on Mitsubishi at all, but I would take a WRX or a Speed3 over a Ralliart based on the fact that they offer a M/T version.
I'm not a Twin-clutch guy, I prefer using my left foot when I drive...so based on my personal preferences, that would be a major step up from our 145 HP N/A Lancers...
And like the man said, if there was an Evo for the deal he got, he would have bought that instead. Sometimes a good deal is too good to pass up. I wish you the best with the car man.
Post up some pics.

Insurance premiums are based off of your driving history, area you live, but most importantly, the number of claims compared to the number of each vehicle that is on the road...so the sad thing about driving an economy car, like the Lancer, is that it has a higher claim percentage than a more expensive car.
Simply put, the more of one kind of vehicle that is on the streets, the greater amount of claims that can be made compared to actual claims for previous years...since the Lancer is now a regular vehicle in the US, and it starts around 15k, its at more risk for an insurance claim.
Sick car...wanna give me a ride?!? Haha.

I can't... I love black on cars. It's funny you say that, cause not only was my Lancer and now Speed3 black, but my 98 Talon Tsi was black as well as my 97 Mitsu Eclipse GST
Exactly. Even at that I was still surprised... I would give you a ride but i'm up in Canada!
