The 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1

Not to shabby. Supercharged. 0-60 in about 4 secs. 1/4 mile in 12 seconds. 580hp. I think they said about $55k. What do ya'll think about it? I think a little overpriced but its still a beast

Looks nice & price isn't terrible.

Sorry, but the GT500 owns the ZL1.

I want to see this head to head against the GT500 on a road course and a drag strip.

All these "muscle cars", more and more hp each year but the power-to-weight ratio stays the same if you know what I mean. And the everyday person doesn't consider this.

The survival to crash ratio also goes up!
But I agree, they are pretty portly any more.

The ZLI costs more, weighs more, and is obviously slower with less HP than the new gt500.
There is really no reason at all to buy this over the Ford except for being a "Chevy" guy.
I also think the GT500 looks much meaner..

One advantage to the Chevy is it can be had with automatic. GT500 nada.

Typical GM parts bin bs if you ask me. I'm pretty sure they are almost completely out of original ideas. Any time you part bin a car from a great car, you are of course going to get a decent car in the end. They don't have to R&D the parts or platform as heavily, so my guess is the profit margin is a lot higher. I could be wrong though.

You guys are forgetting the tuning aspect of the car. Smaller pulley! Tune and longtubes! Cammed! Will be a beast!
