Evo powered tube chassis Mini Cooper build

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I thought you guys might dig it

I have a customer that wanted these two cars made into one. There is no way the rusted old Mini body would survive Evo power so I built it all on tube chassis.

The engine is staying all stock for now other than intake and exhaust but with a target weight or 1500-1800lbs it should be ridiculous.

I will let the pics do the talking

I would assume most of this is being CNC'ed?
Blueprinted or no?

I am interested how you are going to handle the wheelbase and the front overhang. The reason the Mini's were such a fun and agile car was because there was so little polar moment as there was so little front overhang.

With the drivetrain layout of the Evo engine/transmission, I don't see how you are going to maintain that aspect, as there's no room in front of the front wheels for the engine. I also want to see how you are going to deal with cooling.

I have drawn up some stuff like a arm tabs in solid works and had them CNC plasma cut but most of it is done by hand. I started out with a rough plan but no blueprints or computer models of the car

Yes it is awd using all of the stock evo drive train. The only might mod was switching to an older center diff to get rid of the ACD

Wheelbase is stock, you are correct about the front overhang being a huge problem. I shifted the motor/trans back 3" in relationship to the front axle centerline and the front clip will be stretched 4-5" in front of the tires.

Cooling will be fun. I will be using a 1/2 radiator and doing a custom intercooler where the a/c and p/s pumps used to be
