block-off plate?

block-off plate?

just wondering, does anybody know what a "block-off plated" is? until now, i've never heard of it until someone mentioned that i should put one in my gf uncle's RX-7. did a google and all it did was sent me to vendors selling it but no details on what it does.

haha a block of plate is whats used when u have a BOV thats attached directly to the turbo set-up like an srt-4. Where the diverter valve was, you put a block off plate so the boost flows through the the external blow off valve on where ever you decided to put it

More or less. RX-7's have a crapton of assorted emissions equipment mounted to the intake manifold which includes the EGR system, the blockoff plates allow you to remove the assorted nightmare of crap.
