Should of got a 600 you will want more power in a month. anyway your have to pay 4 times as much attention to the other people and road conditions. other people will not look for you some will mess with you just because your on a bike even if you are doing everything right. Also always look where you want to go. Its tough to do at first but target fixation can get you into trouble very quickly.

I've heard they keep their value fairly well, so maybe you won't lose too much money when you step up.

I want to get a bike, and was thinking about starting off on a supermoto.

Yeah, I'll probably keep it through summer

it's only got around 4k miles, got it for 2500, so I should at least get that back

I live in a crowded part of Chicago, and my job is only about 2 miles away, so the 250 works for now.

250's are awesome for fuel economy and fun.

When I had my K7 GSXR 1000. I loved how much it scared me... but right about now I'd love to have an 80mpg freeway bike for work.

I'd just play with gearing and free it up.

heck those are usually quick enough to take on a mustang GT.

Nike Bike

I started out with a 250 and loved it while I had it. Perfect starter bike. Once your done with it you can always go up in size. Nice bike!

Congratulations on your purchase. You're wise to start off on a 250 and learn the basics and work your way up. I started off on Yamaha FZR 250 rode it for a year learned how to really ride(lean angle, taking corners, etc..) before I moved on to my CBR600RR and CBR1000RR. Stick with your 250 until you're ready it could save your life.

I'd rather have a 250 cuz i just wanna put around town on nice days. not trying to fly around corners ... at least not yet... and i'd only waste like 3 grand at first ha. I like my head being on my shoulders.

lighter bike = faster cornerspeed!
Start doing track days ASAP.

Good luck with it.
