Sell my Evo8 ?
Just wanted to get some feedback from some people here and some opinions. Im currently on my 3rd evo a Blue By You 2003 EVO 8. It has 80k miles on it and i paid 11k for the car about a year ago. The car was not in perfect shape when I got it, I had to remove a knock off Fuel Pressure regulator, relocate the battery to the front retune the car and fix some exhaust leaks rip plasti dip off the factory wheels put in a new clutch and brakes and replace a power steering pump. It has a few dents and some idiot took the factory trunk, sealed it and made some ghetto DO luck style "custom" wing to it. Also it has a Cwest rear bumper that I hate. I jumped on the car because of the price but it seems lately evos have been plummeting in value and ive already sunk in over 2 grand.
Heres my Dilenma. Considering how much I owe on the car and the things that need to be fixed (new trunk , new wing , paint, new rear bumper) is it better for me to invest in this car throw on some parts and pay it off and keep it. Or just sell the car for 10k take a loss and move on to the next one. I honestly dont think I got a bad deal on the car considering my other two evos did cost more however its kind of a red headed step child since I wouldnt consider the car "clean".
So what do you guys think? So far I have 13k total in the car and that includes the new clutch install and cams and an evo 9 turbo and intercooler piping.

Put it up for sale and see how much you can get. Get a feeler. Can't hurt. If the offers are to low, keep it. From your post it seems like everything left to fix is cosmetic. You can always take your time with that anyway.

rule of thumb for any evo.. if the engine and drivetrain are sound.. then putting a little work and time in the body will pay off. Granted.. miles are up there.. but again.. if that engine is good and no big bad accidents.. then its still a good car to fix up and keep. (or it will be a good selling point for the next guy to by it for about what you paid for it.)
when it comes to getting a new car... just know this.. there are a lot of advances in creator comfort when it comes to cars. Evo VIII /IX don't come close to what a freaking new 20k car will have in it. i.e. backup camera... (just for starters).
so weight your options... there is a lot out there.. but there is nothing like driving an evo... VIII/IX or X for the bang for your buck.
goodluck...

Every car/motorcycle my friend owns is "always for sale". If people offer him the right amount (makes profit), it's sold. Granted I know you say you'd be losing money. Point being, if he doesn't like the offer, he keeps it and enjoys it. It's up to you.

Well Ive decided to keep it and clean it up abit. I dont really see evo's going below 10 grand selling price within two years so Ill be taking this car to a level I couldnt with my 05 before it got totalled. Plus Ive noticed from the for sale threads its getting kind of impossible to find a rust free evo 8
