Chevrolet will honor your Camaro's warranty if you take it to a racetrack, but!
Chevrolet stands behind the engineering of the sixth-generation Camaro, so much so, in fact, that it will honor the warranty if you take your Camaro to a track day. "That's pride of craftsmanship that we know it will stand up to track use," said Camaro chief engineer Al Oppenheiser, in an interview at the New York Auto Show.
There are some restrictions, though. The car must not be modified, and it must be an SS model or above.
"If you're not modifying your car and you take your production car to a track day and you have an issue with one of your parts, it's covered under warranty," Oppenheiser said. "We know when somebody changes their ECM calibration and we know if they changed to a cold-air intake, we can tell all that. But driving it as you break it in from the dealership, if you have a half-shaft or whatever, it's covered."

track warranty is actually pretty cool! I'm guessing that they would probably still give you a hard tie on warranty even if you swap out brake pads or tires though. Still cool that they advertise track coverage though

Depends. If you greatly upgrade the brakes or tires, you increase the amount of gforce the car can produce when cornering and/or braking. Which could lead to oiling issuea for the motor, thus void the warranty. While the car does come with sticky tires, the move to Hoosiers or some DOT rcomp would still represent a big increase in grip. Goodyear supercars aren't exactly race tires. As would going to legitimate racing brake pads, as opposed to street/track pads that will come with the car, unless of course it comes with carbon brakes.

according to the thread I've been lurking on the s2k forum, they're classed 1 above the NT01 and similar tires in NASA

The ZL1 doesn't come with Pirellis though, it comes with the Goodyear Supercars. Which on my dad's 2013, the goodyears couldn't even shake a stick at the Michilen 300tw pilot super sports he replaced them with...lol
