That's awesome! I have like 10 OBD dongles that probably qualify. Thanks!

@kaj if you dont want to buy a dongle for its one time use (assuming none of your work), I will send you mine to borrow so you can code it out. Then just send it back when done.

Thanks, dude! I'm good. Three of mine are on that list. I'll play with it tomorrow, after work.
Anyone know if there's a way to permanently keep the passenger mirror from tilting down, while in reverse? Moving the adjustment button over seems to work for now. Minor inconvenience.

Also able to turn that off via bimmercode.

You can turn it off in the Idrive menu. No need for Bimmercode for that one.

I haven't found it yet but will keep looking. I assume the owners manual will tell me exactly how to get to it.

I will have to scroll through the menus when I have a chance but I know I turned it off before I coded my car. Pretty sure I turned it off the first day I got my car cause it was super annoying.

Same. I back up using my mirrors, so having one pointed down does me about zero good. Yes, I now have a back up camera, but I feel like I can see better with the mirrors.

The mirror tilt is helpful if you have issues curbing your wheels. It helped me out when I was learning the dimensions of the X5.

Somewhat related question, how's the visibility out the back of the supra? Do you need to use your mirrors to back up?

From my experience 2 door sports cars aren't really great in that department. I'm just curious how the Supra is.

It's okay. The camera helps if you need to see directly behind. I use mirrors when backing into spots to be sure I'm centered and not going to hit anything around me. I don't really use the rear view/back window.

Getting caught up here on this thread so excuse the tardiness...

Not sure about the new generation Supras, but usually with BMWs (and most euro cars) the rotors are not serviceable, i.e. they don't get resurfaced, the pads and rotors are designed to wear together so when the pads wear down you do rotors. You can do whatever you like but if they are using the standard BMW rotors with the 2-piece hat, resurfacing would be kinda sketch move IMO, especially on a tracked car.....btw congrats on the Supra purchase!

That said, has anyone heard about the motor blow up on the new GR86 and how Toyota is (not) handling them?

https://www.thedrive.com/news/toyota...as-not-talking

Sounds like for now that car is a no-go track option till they get their manufacturing sorted...at least if you care about Toyota standing behind their product.

The comment about brake rotors was for a different car.
