Oh I know. I wasn't even going to bring that up to him. Yes, the vette rotors are a bargain. Like most GM parts.

That sounds expensive for the Vette still. My brother had a 2015 Z28 and its was "only" $3k for all 4 ceramic rotors.

Just had a car spit a driveshaft on the dyno. Freaking thing sounded like a bomb going off haha. Customer isnt going to be happy when I give him the bad news. Looks like it cracked the trans case and destroyed all the exhaust.

pretty much the answer I was expecting.

Have fun cutting and drilling holes in the car! The wings template is nearly spot on. The splitters template, not so much. It worked fine side to side but I had to cut out like an extra inch in the bumper slots to get the brackets in the correct spot. Overall, both are pretty straight forward installs.

Well I just got some bad news today. The series I have been racing in for 6 years is going to do one final race. WTF! I bought my Supra just for that series and finally have it to where I want and now I get one last race weekend...

They might continue doing the series but they need to find a new lot since the future of the speedway is undecided. So maybe doing actual big tracks is in my future...

That is the strangest "complaint" I've ever heard (I come from the opposite camp)

I love the series I am in cause of the very minor class limitations, good amount of run time and no working the course. No way am I getting into scca since it's the complete opposite. It might actually be time for us to meet up at Laguna!

I'm the wrong person to ask about SCCA lol. My local group is very clique and I don't fit in..
So, to pay money to go work a course all day for 3 and 1/2 minutes of driving, while having to deal with their attitudes.... Yeah, no.
We do have the local Porsche club that does their own events, so I know exactly what you mean when you talk about people that do it better.
I am not an SCCA fan

Now, talk about going out to the big tracks? That's my jam and my passion from my first day out there. I get to live out my inner James Hunt each time I drive, as my helmet shows .. lolPlus, it turns out to be something I'm actually halfway decent at.

Well, turns out using fishing line to take off a trunk lip spoiler on a supra is a big BAD IDEA. The way the trunk contours, the fishing line gets put under tension and that plus the soft paint on the plastic trunk = paint annihilation.

I was so pissed, but at least it made the act of drilling into the trunk for the Verus wing not so bad anymore... and now I have a big **** installed.

That's honestly why I cringe every time I see somebody mounting one of those things.

I've had to remove one before...

Did you forget to cut the hooks off the ends?

Man I got super lucky with mine. I just lifted mine off and it came off no problem.

Woof, that hurts. Small price to pay to have a big ****? How's the paint holding up on the rest of the car?

Not bad for all the track days. I have some wear on the black side skirts but that is expected. I installed front fender flaps so I think that helped the sides not get annihilated.

Front isn't bad for the use it has seen. I do wish I at least PPF'd the headlights though. I even bought some XPEL PPF for them but never got around to installing them.

The windshield is pitted to hell. If the sun hits it just right it's hard to see out of. I'll probably do this next season and then replace it.
