Okay, test fit the rear MCS coilover.

The assembly is 1.5" shorter than the OEM assembly. So much for stock height I guess.

As far as not being able to preload on the spring I posted about before...I don't think I can get away with a longer spring because the sway bar end link gets really close as is. Not sure if longer endlinks would solve anything as I'm not sure how much I can articulate the sway bar up.

Good news is that I have a ton of tire to strut clearance with the 295's.

interesting... do you know how other brands that also do a coilover conversion in the rear get around this? skinnier shocks?

if you're not married to the coilover conversion and up for spending more money... you can see if these guys (link below) will sell their rear spring setup separately. Although that means different spring rate to maintain the same wheel rate and not sure what that means for shock valving

https://art-of-attack.com/products/j...yota-supra-a90

also noticed most of the Chinese and/or Taiwanese lego coilover companies also use the divorced spring setup, maybe try to buy one of their setups. I know BC is usually pretty good about selling parts...

I took yesterday to speak in depth with some other supra track guys that have MCS setups. There are some differences that I will be (need to) changing on mine. Bummer that I have to do more things to make an almost $5,000 suspension setup work but lesson learned. The rear coilover actually hits the upper suspension arm and slightly rubs on the axle boot when the car is on the ground. It's almost like these were never tested...

I'm interested to see what Vorshlag says about all this after the long weekend.

I think this is a good reason for me to go with Feal like I did on my Evo. Odi has actual experience working on a Supra and lots of track testing. Not just ya these should work, send it. And if I have issues, not only do I have his cell number but his shop is 20 min from my house.

Yea, I regret canceling my Ohlins order now.

Are the ohlins a true coilover rear? Feal offers them both ways but uses a top mounted spring on the coilover version.

No, they are divorced. Are you sure Feal has the spring at the top? There is no room with the frame right there. Maybe Feal mounts them offset to the outside more?

I am 99% sure they are. Most likely have an offset mount. I'll get Odi to send me pictures on Monday since their website doesn't show them. But the divorced kit has the shock upside down compared to yours so I would imagine the coilover is the same.

Pretty much everyone has them that way with divorced. I would be highly surprised if they mount the springs at the top. The only way it could work is with offset upper mounts. I look forward to the photos.

Here are some pics from the drifter he sponsors. Looks like it's a top mount spring and offset.

Has to be an offset top mount then. Looks like there are actually sideways slots in the those top mounts. I actually tried mine and the springs hit the frame.

How far out does it seem like it would have to go out to fit flipped? Or are your springs too long and it hits the sway bar?
