First session in my new car, kept TC on. My car is way, way, way too conservative. I hear you on the
coasting thing. It was horrible.
It cut in, I instinctively gave the car more gas pedal.... Nothing. Made it feel even worse.
Full throttle, Civic acceleration.
Turned it off, car only broke traction once. I was like

I'm not using RT660. I'm using Continental Extreme Contact Force, their new 200TW tires. I really liked them at first but now that I am pushing the car more they don't have as much grip as I would like. They are wearing really well though. I might swap them out for some Nankang CR-S tires. However, since I can't fit a set of track wheels/tires in the car, I need to get tires that work okay in the rain since it likes to rain randomly here a lot. Last thing I want to be is stuck in a rain storm on the way back from the track on tires that hydroplane all over the place. It actually started pouring RIGHT after my last session this weekend and had to drive in a lot of standing water on the way back from the track. The Contis handled it with no issue.

very surprisingly, Supras get great gas mileage (for what it is). Besides race days, I haven't got less than 20mpg. I average between 22-24mpg with my non stop traffic drive. People are claiming mid 30s on the Freeway.
To compare, my evo on the same route got -
14-16mpg while on 91 octane. My cobalt (2.0 turbo) gets 20-22mpg on the same route.

For those who have driven both, how similar is the 135i to the Supra in terms of steering feel and handling?
Just trying to understand how much BMW has changed since late 2000s because the 135's steering and chassis was not anything special. My evo X was a lot more fun to drive. The 135i is the only BMW I've owned and has stopped me from looking at their current cars and Toyota's derivative. Maybe skipping over the Supra because of this past experience is a mistake?

There are two supras that are finishing in the top 10 in each event so far at TireRack One Lap of America. A couple events they have also been in the top 5.
One of the supra guys (Danny Kao of Team Kaos) is someone that has helped me with my Supra setup. Nice guy, and obviously fast.
