G35 Coupe VS Bmw
hey guys..
i was wondering if i should get the G35 coupe 5-spd auto ( i dont drive stick ) or the bmw 3-series. the bmw 325ci is just a little over G35 coupe's price but i'm not sure which one to get. i know that bmw's 180 hp can't compare to g's 280hp but still i am still double minded. i also think that a better looking car than the G35 coupe was never built and probably wont. its just my parents who are trying to change my mind into getting that bmw. they think its more luxurious and all that stuff. i would definately go with the G coupe and kills the bmw in every way. dont u think so?

I'd get the G35 Coupe all day long. In order to get comparable performance in a BMW you'd just about have to get an M3 which is about $20k-$30k more than the G35. Bimmers are really underpowered for how much $$$ you spend.

When it comes to the low-end of things, BMW has just been seeming... a bit lazy.
Granted, the revised 3.0-liter which we'll see in the 3-series during the next generation will be producing about 260BHP, but that's some time away. The 325Ci produces what... 186? I hate to say it, but the 2.5L in the IS about 12 years ago produced 8 more. So what's happened over the past 12 years? Yes, BMW's inline-6's have that wonderful baritone to them, and they're nice and all, but they really haven't kept up. Yes, there's a 330Ci with the Performance package putting out 235HP, but I hate to say it, though there's a fair amount of family cars that throw that kind of power down. And you're looking well into the $40K range equipped.
In both a straight line and in the corners, the G is better. More legroom in the G, though less headroom than the 3. The 3 has a more upscale interior, but if you just cared about what's inside the cabin, in my opinion you should be shopping for an Audi.
I used to want a 330Ci. Tremendously so. But as time passed they've gotten more expensive as the Euro has gained on the US Dollar, and as new toys have come to market. Take them both out back to back, and I'm fairly certain you're coming home with the G35 Coupe.

The G35 is a great looking car and will hold its value well. Had a G35 Sedan and was not impressed. Seat was croocked and uncomfortable. The stick coupe has somewhat better seats - but narrow. High stearing effort and so-so handling.
The engine is really noisy and obviously pushed to the limit. Low end torque is bad - Evo is better.
BMW engines are sweet - wait for next gen 300 or get a used 330Ci stick.

if you are only considering a 325i in the 3 series then its a no brainer...go with a G35...I test drove a 328i before getting my TSX and it was a pathetic joke. Just a total waste of money. If you've got the dough for a 330i then I would consider that, but my suggestion is that if you plan on getting a smaller motor than the 3.0, you are better off with something else. Even my lowly 200hp TSX is way better than a 325 or 328i in my opinion, and I only paid 25k for it plus tax.
