What engines can be swappped into an AE86. I am thinking about buying one, but no engine. I was wondering what engines will fit? Thanks for the help.

The Toyota 4AGE engine is the one that is meant to go in the AE86. You can find info on it at: http://www.users.bigpond.com/vidore/...age_engine.htm

My favorite swap out of what I've seen was the S2000's engine in an AE86. It wasn't easy or cheap though.

The 4AGE is ideal, but I think there are a few different motors that came in the AE86. since yours doesn't have a motor I think the 4AGE is the best solution. I'm pretty sure it fits into both the SR5's and the GT-S's as well.

Oh right. Almost forgot.

I believe that in Initial D Takumi puts a TRD race-prepped 4AGE from a Trueno AE111 in his AE86.

i would put in a 20valve engine and get the individual throttle body, that thing is awesome, if you want a turbocharge engine, get the 3sgt.
