Description:
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution
Special Edition 245 of 330
I own this vehicle, and have the title.
This car was originally built in Chicago, by AMS performance. No expense was spared. It's actually been with a few members here previously, if you crosscheck the vin, you can find the previous listing.
I picked up the car in Florida from a dealership, with about 36k miles on it.
Since then, I've taken it to Iowa, and back a few times to see family. I planned on keeping the car, so I've recently done a lot of TLC to it. The previous owner had it tuned on E85, to which I had it reverted back to 91 octane. I've also took out the junk fuel filter they had, and installed a radium 6 micron microglass filter. After of which, I sent the ID1700's it has to injector dynamics to make sure they weren't gunked up. After a cleaning service, they came back great with not much debris to clean out in the first place.
I drove the car in the Iowa winter some days to play in the snow in our parking lot nearby, but I kept it off any salty roads. Up here, they seem to just give up after a few inches of snow fall, and let it pack in.
During the winter, the AWC pump failed. I had a dealer replace it under warranty, and also had them replace the ETACS unit, serpentine belt, pulleys, tensioner, and blower under recalls. At the same time, I had them do an SST fluid change, and I changed the oil with the AMS recommended weight of 10W-40W for this engine.
The car has Tephra v3 installed already, and is tuned on 91 octane. The module is easily accessible, and can be read with ECU flash, and data logged with Evoscan. I also wired up a connection into the car, so AFR can be logged as well. All you need is a single USB port on a laptop.
There are no DTCs (trouble codes) in this car, other than the ECU modifications to pass OBDII readiness monitors.

Some other things I'm probably forgetting.
The EXPERIMENTAL sticker is an inside joke, it comes off easily. It's from an EAA aircraft certification kit...
The car is a blast to drive, and sounds mean as hell, but I got smacked with some unexpected events as many of us probably have. Up till last month I had no thoughts of selling it, which is why I have done so much so recently.
I've listed it a bit cheaper here than other places, due to the friendly help I've gotten from everyone since I got the car, Thanks.

Cold temps are better for saving fuel anyway but still... I could be using the $ for blasting through my flight training.
The carfax is clean, with no accidents on record, and I have the title with no lien. I bought it from a dealer in Florida last year.
Car Gurus Listing
Here is the Car Gurus listing, price is a tad higher there, intentionally. I'm more eager to negotiate with a board member than a rando from car gurus. The problem was, I had a TON of interest in the car, here and on gurus just a month or so ago, but I was working a deal with a guy that was kinda in and out of the hospital. It went south for him. (He's OK, just buried under bills)
I just took it for a drive last night up to operating temp to make sure no leaks or anything developed. I usually try to get it nice and hot once every couple months at least.
