Emissions in Northern Virginia

What are the restrictions on passing emissions in Northern Virginia? I recently installed a turbo and I also have HID. I was wondering if I'm going to fail because of these upgrades. I, however, have a catalytic convert so...

What stuff do they check?

I'm not sure the exact specs. My buddy tried to get a 240 sx and it just wouldn't pass emissions there. Its higher than MD where you gotta have a 1.0 PPM hydrocarbon reading or lower.

BTW, I have the same Inital D remote control car. Its awsome. I need new tires for it though.

I don't know what these numbers mean but maybe you can explain

There's three categories HC, CO, NO and they are measured in MPH/RPM range. look at the table below as an example for a montero sport:

MPH HC CO NO RPMs

15 87 4.8 655 1600
25 84 .47 594 1300

Well, the HIDs have zilch to do with the emissions inspection, although you may fail the safety inspection if they aren't aligned properly.

Inspections suck...yet another reason in a long list of reasons why I moved to Florida...
