Hood Pins location for the Evo 8

I just got my CF hood and wanted to know if anyone has hood pins installed on their Evo 8. I'm thinking of using the pre-drilled holes on the front beam but don't know if those are going to work.

Its a Seibon hood and the pins are recommended, I already had two friends who lost their hoods from not having hood pins.

Use the predrilled holes, they are located near the headlight - it works perfectly.

Sup man, that's a nice set-up you got. I dont know if you remember me but I use to live across Gonzo in L.V. I use to go to the meet at In and Out once in a while...I worked nights so couldn't represent as much.

Anyways thanks for the show and tell...........

One thing I learned is never work on your car outside when its cold, the patience and attention to detail just left me. Have a partner to look over you and best of all pre-fit everything before you start drilling. If you notice one of the studs (driver's side is leaning)... that is when I did my dry run the stud was hitting the air bag sensor... I thought the studs was going to be on the spot but it came up to be too high so I had to cut the bottom piece of the stud to clear the sensor. Another thing is that the red piece which is rivited on top of the hood was too hard to rivet due to the shape of the hood pin......I use a screw/rivet combo and the screw head was too wide so it bent the red stuff a little bit and gouge it up also... in conclusion the pins are fully functional and I never have to worry about the hood coming off.

Yeah it does look kinda off. I tried to match it with my red lug nuts and brakes. I got those hood pins for free and might paint it black when it gets warmer.
