BG transmission Fluid

I ordered some BG transmission fluid and the bottle says its for front wheel drive manual transmission. I emailed the seller and they said this is what Evo owners use. Any others use the same tranny fluid? It does say GL-4 in the back so its compatible.

BG syncroshift and BG syncroshift II do the same job. The only difference is II lasts longer. If you do a search there are a few members who don't like this fluid because it doesn't protect the gears too well. I myself used to use BG syncroshift but now am switching to Redline MT90. Nothing has happened to my tranny yet but I am just doing it for preventative maintenance.

BTW they all say for fwd transmissions, dont worry about that.

Thanks for the advise, the BG will go into the tranny and the T-Case and Diff will get the original Mitsu oil. If the BG sucks then I'll drain it out. The car has 39K and the drive-train is running strong.

The thing is it wont suck. BG makes it shift much smoother and easier you'll love it at the expense of faster wearing gears.

I had them in my Talon and it worked fine......we'll see in a week. Anyone here ever used Lucas in their Evo's tranny?

Finally put the BG fluid in, it shifts a lot smoother and the main difference is that on the oem fluid, its crunchy on start ups (when its cold) the BG shift really smooth from the get go.....I'll stick with this fluid from now on.

Next is to change the t-case and rear dif with Diaqueen, this one I'm staying with oem.
