Finally got to drive the Evo (thanks again Jim) and it was most excellent. Never took it over 4k rpm and still loved every minute of it.
I have to say the Recaro seats are mounted at a bit of an unusual angle for someone used to regular car seats, with my *** feeling like it's lower than my legs. That will take a little getting used to, but that's really the only negative thing I could think of.
Oh and for some reason if I'm coasting in a gear and gently get on the gas again it seems like the car bucks a couple times. I've never had that happen in any other manual trans car before unless I was close to stalling. What is it about the Evo that causes that feeling? I've heard other people around here mention that before.
But again, awesome car. The turbo just starting to spool as you cross 3500rpm is so enticing. I can only imagine the remaining 3k rpms!
I look forward to the Skyline Drive meet tomorrow and riding along in Redcloud's Evo.
