Suicide at the Galleria Mall in Tyson's Corner
Friday night I was at the Cheesecake Factory in Tyson's Corner in Virginia. Apparently, a young lady jumped from the third story balcony killing herself as he plummeted to the first floor.
I have checked for articles, stories and have found absolutely nothing as to what exactly happened.
Have any of you heard anything?

There was one individual I spoke to and he said he saw the body before the EMTs came. The police had roped off a good portion of the mall and escorted individuals away from the scene.
I still have not heard anything as to if she intentionally jumped or fell by accident. No one even has an identity of the girl or where she worked in the mall.

When we tried to go towards the scene, police yelled at us to go the other way. The only thing I saw was a good amount of tape roping off most of the first floor.
We spoke to a couple of janitors and they said they were able to see the girl sprawled out on the floor and it wasn't a pleasant experience.

I work in the mall (was there when it happened, but unaware that it had occurred).
Yeah, no news, which is kinda weird, but apparently there is no deliberate hush-hush about the incident on the mall's side. It did happen after business hours. (~10:30pm)
There's speculation that the woman MAY have worked in the mall. That would make sense, as that is kind of a weird place to chose to commit suicide. Not really "poetic", or particularly high.
Sad, though.

It is sad. I posted this thread becuase I wanted to let people know what had happened at that mall, and our experiencing the event. I was there the night that it happened and yet no one would fill us in with what had just occurred. It's not that we're a bunch of sick individuals or need to know everything that happens, but the interest is there in why did it happen? where did it happen? and what the girl's motives were for doing such a thing.
My girlfriend and I were actually there last night and you could still see in the area where the fashion seminar was taking place, people pointing towards the third floor, talking about the incident and looking around for what I'm guessing is the area in which she fell.
I'm puzzled about how she fell, it really isn't that high up in that if one were to fall I think the most damage done would have been a few broken brones. It does sadden me when situations like this happens, but in a way when you're actually in the area where something like this happens it seems to remain with you even tghough the accident didn't directly impact you or your family.

The woman was believed to have worked in the mall. That is untrue.
The lady was an older woman dressed in a business suit and was believed to have been staying at the Ritz Carlton. The host of the cheesecake factory at that time was out in the mall and discovered the body and made the call to 911.
