yeah you gotta come to a big track next year though..... We may be having our 3rd annual Gingerman snow/rain/shine autocross either late this year or early next.

The price is definately right.......it normally costs three times that to go to a bigger track......and......odds are you'd get less track time.
Anyone interested in a ralliart front LSD transfer case built by TRE? $1000

I used to be able to pretty much top out 3rd on race tires.. Now I'm on street tires up there I'm a little slower than that, but still going quite a way through 3rd.
At gingerman I'm hitting 100-105 on street tires and at Blackhawk I'm coming damn close to the rev limiter in 4th... I'm guessing I'm hitting 115. RA in my car I would guess I would get to 130-135.
For me the thrill of Shawano is how tricky the track is to get right and the chase races.
Gingerman the thrill is in getting turns 4-9 right..
Blackhawk was turns 3-6 and the braking zone into the last turn.
RA - I'm not sure where the thrill would be.. My guess is going through the carousel and hagning on for the kink. RA is a track I really want to run, but am in no hurry to get out there. Just seems so hard on the engine, that you would spend a lot of time under full throttle, full boost, full load at high RPM. I think I would take a trip to Grattan over a trip to RA.

I remember a post not long ago where someone asked if RallyCross was hard on a car..
The perfect response went something like... RallyCross is no harder on a car than driving through a parking lot.. But while running over the concrete parking stops and curbs at 70mph.

No I didn't throw them on in the end. The track was getting crowded so testing could have been difficult. Also there were a couple of Subaru's that I wanted to go after in the last hour that I hadn't yet.
I think Zoey is faster than me now.. I could keep up (actually catch up) on race tires last year, I don't think that's true anymore. I would still like to have a go!!

The thrill at Road America is hitting the apex of a corner just perfectly, being on the power as you just start to enter the corner, and flying into a 90deg corner at 130mph and hoping your brakes still work when you see 5 and 4 pass you and you go to stand on them.
Also, knowing you're running on a track that the big boys run on... (champ cars, lemans, etc)
Having been on Shawano and RA, I'd take RA in a heartbeat. Shawano is an autox track w/ elevation changes. (still better than autox though)
